Good evening, Panther families,

This is Dr. Curry with your weekly updates.

Thank you to all the families who joined us last week for Community Day and the Sneaker Ball. We had a wonderful time celebrating with you! These were our final school events of the year before our closing ceremonies.

End-of-Grade review sessions and testing are now underway. All students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade will begin DIBELS literacy testing this week. To help students do their best, we kindly ask families to schedule appointments for the afternoon or, if possible, after testing has concluded for the school year.

We also have one final Saturday Blitz Camp remaining for students in grades 3–5 preparing for EOG testing. We hope to see your scholar this Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Our Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony will be held on June 9 at 8:00 a.m. in the gymnasium. Our 5th Grade Promotion and Awards Ceremony will follow at 9:00 a.m. in the gym. Families of these students are warmly invited to attend. Students may leave with their parents following the ceremonies.

Awards Day for students in 1st through 4th grades will take place on June 10 in the gymnasium according to the following schedule:

1st Grade: 8:00–8:25 a.m.

2nd Grade: 8:30–8:55 a.m.

3rd Grade: 9:00–9:25 a.m.

4th Grade: 9:30–10:00 a.m.

Students may leave with their parents following their ceremony. Because we are on a very tight schedule, we kindly ask families to arrive on time. This is a special occasion, and we encourage students to dress their best.

Thank you again for the support you have shown throughout this school year. It has been a pleasure serving you and our scholars. We wish all of our students continued success as they move forward in their educational journey.

As always, let’s have a great week at Parkview Village Expressive Arts Elementary, where we celebrate every culture and encourage every scholar to “Step into the spotlight on their own unique stage and SHINE.”
